The first thing that people usually ask when you say you went to Antarctica is "Why?" However, once they get past that, the next question is usually, "What was it like?" As I mentioned in a previous posting, we have taken thousands of pictures and several hours of video, collectively, among the six people in our group. However, the expedition staff that provided much of the interesting information during our trip happen to expert photographers as well. They sold a CD with several of the pictures they took at the end of the cruise and Vip was kind enough to share his copy. I have posted most of the pictures from the disk at the link below (I took out several pictures of the other passengers unless they were interesting for some reason). Enjoy.

Some of those are spectacular. Some good desktop wallpaper candidates too. Seems like the wildlife including even the sea birds were unafraid of human contact!?
